    Awesome work! However, I was waiting on this because the 2.14.2 windows installer is totally borked and going to require a 2.14.3 release...

      I see, you probably mentioned this during yesterday's stream but I couldn't stay for more than a few minutes.
      
Personally I'd prefer to keep review requests separate, use this one only for the blog post for 2.14.2 and then create a new one for the 2.14.3 release since doing a new release requires not only to create a new file for the blog post but also changing the version in the config.toml and also updating the static/ChangeLog file. I do understand not merging this until we have the review request for the 2.14.3 stuff ready to go so that you don't have to land the reviews, push them to the repo and wait for the site to get rebuilt twice. In the end you are the one who can make the final decision here so if you still prefer to keep everything in this review request just let me know (here or in Pidgin Chat XMPP) once you have 2.14.3 ready to go and I'll update it accordingly :)

      Actually after some further thought and hours of banging my head against windows, we can use this blog post to mention the that windows installer is broken and that we're working on it.

      Just pushed a new change to this review that adds a notice so that Windows users are warned about the issues with the installer for this version of Pidgin and that they can expect 2.14.3 to be out soon with that issue resolved.
