Built the flatpak and verified that commit hash field was set properly.

Do we need to install? Right now it ends up in the final flatpak, which seems unnecessary.

If it can run from a compiled archive directly, then we can use append-path to make it available at build time only.

I was thinking other libraries (of ours most likely) or plugins might want to use it as well.

Ah, libraries won't, but I guess plugins might.

Ship it!
